Jezreel Olive is all about olive oil. We believe that the real value lies in the purity of the oil and understanding how to unlock its potential.

For this reason, we source only the highest quality estate produced oil from
award-winning producers.

Our business is built on the following principles:

Transparency

We only stock brands that are registered with recognized authorities in the country of origin. On our Producers page, you can learn more about the history of each estate and share in the passion of the people behind each product.

Quality

We only sell genuine Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) products. All our products are estate-produced meaning that there is no mass blending. We will tell you the origin of each product.

Education

One of our core goals is to grow the EVOO market in South Africa, to create awareness and understanding of the EVOO product. We share insightful articles on our Did You Know page and also check us out on social media.

Giving back

Jezreel means “God sows”. We support local producers to produce the fruit that can be sown back into the local communities.

Why "Jezreel"

"On that day I will respond" — declares the Lord — “I will respond to the heavens, and they will respond to the earth. And the earth will respond to the grain, to the new wine and oil, and they will respond to Jezreel."

Our inspiration comes from the Book of Hosea which is about God's loving relationship with His chosen people. God is our Provider, our only Source - His love is unbreakable and His ultimate purpose is to heal, restore and redeem people, families, communities and nations!

Jezreel means "God sows" or "may God give seed". A seed 'zera' is anything that produces new life. The name Jezreel is derived from the verb 'zara' which means "to scatter seed".

With Jezreel Olive, we have the opportunity to bring new life to the South African Olive Industry and ultimately new life to people, families and communities.

The Founders

Jezreel Olive was established in early 2025 by Vernon and Petro Reinders in response to a call from God.

Our journey together started more than 30 years ago. After working and living in different countries, we were called back to our beloved nation of South Africa and settled in the Western Cape towards the end of 2023.

Having raised 3 children of our own, we understand the Biblical principle of healthy families as the foundation of healthy and prosperous communities. The family unit is a fundamental part of God’s creative purpose and central to His heart and destiny plan for nations.

We both have a heart for uplifting communities to become self-sustainable and prosperous. When communities thrive, the economy will thrive, and industries will reap the reward. This is also true of the South African Olive Industry.

Everything starts with a fruit-bearing seed. By sowing these seeds, new life will be established.
